New features in capital’s favourite outdoor hangout include animal barn and botanic garden
One of the largest and oldest parks in Abu Dhabi, Mushrif Park underwent a whopping Dh179 million makeover during the last two years when it remained closed to the public.
“I am so happy the park is finally reopening. It has been a long wait as we used to spend most of our evenings here,” Umm Riyaz, an Emirati mother, told XPRESS.
Located on 15th Street between Airport Road and Karamah Street, Mushrif Park – as it was known until now – was one of the favourite hangouts of residents.
“It was like a family park as it was here where we used go on most weekends,” recalled Pakistani housewife Azma Rehman.
The new park boasts a range of facilities including an animal barn and amphitheatre. More info
