Abu Dhabi: The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols has urged motorists using both sides of Al Raha Beach to exercise caution, reduce speed and respect speed limits indicated on the signs along the construction detours.

The speed limit will help prevent all the causes that lead to traffic accidents, resulting in deaths and serious injuries.

Radars will be set to 121 kilometres/hour in both directions from Al Qanat Bridge (the Channel Bridge) to Shaikh Zayed Bridge, to catch speed violators.

The policy of increasing traffic regulation aims to ensure the safety of the drivers, and promote compliance with laws, leading to reduced speeds. High speeds pose risks to the driver as well as others on the road. More info
